Pete Carroll says Colin Kaepernick is ‘a starter in this league’ but Seahawks will not sign him

If there’s a team that isn’t scared to pick up Colin Kaepernick, it’s the Seahawks.

Seattle already has Michael Bennett on the roster and the defensive end has been known to have social opinions that may rub some the wrong way. The Seahawks make it work with Bennett, so signing someone like Kaepernick would not be outlandish.

It’s not going to happen, though.

The Seahawks will be passing on the services of Kaepernick this season.

It’s the second time Blandino and Pereira have joined forces, as the two began working together at the NFL office in 1998.

“Something I’ve always admired about Fox Sports is their dedication to keeping viewers as informed as possible when it comes to the rules and regulations of the game,” Blandino said in a statement. “They were the trailblazers in creating this type of position, and I’m excited to now be a part of it.”

Added Pereira: “It pleases me to no end, and I could not be more thrilled that Dean is joining us at Fox Sports. He brings a clear expertise to the table which will be valuable to me and to all of us at Fox Sports.”

Blandino has become a household name among NFL fans over the past few seasons. He often tweeted, or appeared on television, to explain controversial calls made by officials.

When Blandino stepped down in April, multiple reports had linked him with CBS to replace former official turned rules analyst Mike Carey, who has been heavily criticized for his on-air performance.

The NFL promoted Alberto Riveron to its top officiating position Dallas Cowboys Cheap Jerseys last month. Riveron Chinese Cheap Jerseys spent nine years officiating NFL games, on-field experience Blandino did not have.
